Retiring after this school year, Ms. Schafer, Lenape’s Spanish teacher, will be leaving the LHS family to pursue future endeavors.  An interview with her revealed the exciting life that awaits her, as well as a teacher that we will surely miss.

After retirement, she plans to “mostly do a lot of reading. I have three grandchildren and two more on the way so I want to spend a lot of time with them.”

As for the future, “I like doing craft things, decorating, that kind stuff.”

Having worked at Lenape for 34 years, “I’m going to miss seeing all of the teachers all day long; that’s the thing I’m going to miss the most, and connecting with the students.  I’m just going to miss teaching Spanish because I like it.”
