2016 OBOS: Brothers Forever
This summer, Lenape students and staff will all read the novel Brothers Forever. This remarkable war story is about the bond between two young men in the military––Travis Manion, a fallen US Marine, and Brendan Looney, a fallen US Navy Seal. Manion and Looney were former roommates who showed immense courage during their respective missions. They were both killed three years apart, one in Afghanistan and one in Iraq, but were buried together at Arlington National Cemetery. Brothers Forever written by Travis’ father, former Marine colonel Tom Manion, and award-winning journalist, Tom Sileo, tells an unforgettable story of friendship, family, and heroism.
I cannot wait for the Lenape community to read it this summer!!
