As the new decade approaches it is important to set goals for ourselves to makes us reach our best potential. People often set new year’s resolutions to give themselves, but find it hard to carry them through throughout the new year.   1. Create a budget to spend your money wisely. Once you start saving up money, you will feel more secure knowing that there is something in your piggy bank in times of emergencies.
  2. Cook one new thing each week. By cooking more often, you will live a healthier lifestyle because you won’t eat out as much. Also, by cooking something new, you can learn a new skill each week!
  3. Take the stairs more often. This forces you to get in those daily steps, and gives you an energy boost for the day.
  4. Get some plants. This may seem strange, but if you’re stressed from all of the college work or school work, having indoor plants can reduce stress levels. It reduces blood pressure and calms the nervous system.
  5. Start doing yoga. You can do yoga alone or with your friends to make it more fun.  On the topic of relieving stress yoga will calm your tensions and help you relax. Also, you can get a good laugh at your friends trying to do some hard poses.
