Reece’s Week 16 Power Rankings
- Philadelphia Eagles (13-1): After a dominant performance at MetLife, the Eagles took a small step back in Chicago. However, even in a sloppy game, they found a way to come out with a win and that’s what great teams do.
- Kansas City Chiefs (11-3): The Chiefs have had some close calls these past two weeks. Almost choking a 27 point lead against the Broncos and now going to overtime against the 1-12-1 Texans. They still won both though and I don’t see any sign of them slowing down.
- Cincinnati Bengals (10-4): A slow start for the Bengals in the first half had them down 17-3 at the end of the second quarter. As soon as they came out of the tunnel for the second half, they were a different team. They pulled away and ended up sealing the victory with confidence heading into next week.
- San Francisco (10-4): The Niners are a special team and have one of the best lockdown defenses I have ever seen. It seems like no matter who you put behind center, they will succeed and that is scary.
- Minnesota Vikings (11-3): Coming back from a 33-0 is impossible right? Wrong. These Viking’s never gave up and ended up having the biggest comeback EVER in NFL History.
- Buffalo Bills (11-3): This is an elite team with an elite quarterback and so many other good positions it’s hard to name all. It just seems to me that we get in the same spot every year with them. They look so good and win that first playoff game, end up meeting the Chiefs in Kansas City, and end up losing. Maybe this year can change.
- Dallas Cowboys (10-4): There is so much to say about this team but I’ll cut it down. ALL you had to do was beat the Jaguars and you could have a chance to win the NFC East. Here it is, the game of the year, Eagles vs. Cowboys. Primetime, on Christmas Eve, MILLIONS of people tuning in to watch. But you sold, and now we have a game that doesn’t even matter for the Eagles. Oh well.
- Detroit Lions (7-7): The Lions? At 8? Yes. They are on a roll right now and they have a serious shot at making the playoffs. Great coach, I see the team has a lot of chemistry. It’s the Lions world and we’re just living in it.
- Miami Dolphins (8-6): Don’t get me wrong, this team is great but over the past two weeks, they haven’t looked the same. I don’t know if it’s something going on in the locker room or maybe just defenses have figured out how to stop them. Whatever it is, they gotta fix it, and fix it fast.
- Los Angeles Chargers (8-6): This team is finally healthy after all of their injuries and they look like a new team. I would be scared if the AFC side of this team makes the playoffs.
- Baltimore Ravens (9-4): They were lucky to sneak out a win with Tyler Huntley at quarterback. Last week, not so much. They need Lamar back ASAP, in order to look somewhat good going into the playoffs.
- New York Giants (8-5-1): Huge win against the Commanders on Sunday Night Football. That puts their playoff hopes into something that is very possible. Just need to finish the season strong and you are in.
- Washington Commanders (7-6-1): Tough loss against the New York Giants. Puts them in a spot they don’t like, being last in the division. However, they are not out but are going to need some help to get in.
- Seattle Seahawks (7-7): I can’t figure out this team, some week’s they look good, others not so much. They absolutely need these last three wins to have any shot at the playoffs.
- New York Jets (7-7): The Mike White injury hurts this team but with their elite defense and some playmakers on the other side of the ball, it’s something to look forward to in years to come.
- Jacksonville Jaguars (6-8): This team is HOT! Destroying their division opponent and coming up with a huge win against the Dallas Cowboys. I like this team alot and they are building something special here in Jacksonville.
- New England Patriots (7-7): That might have been the worst decision I have ever seen been made in a NFL game. They should just cut Jakobi Meyers for that.
- Tennessee Titans (7-7): After being the 1 seed just a year ago, this team has not been the greatest. Your quarterback is old, you have no receivers, and your entire team revolves around 1 player (Derrick Henry).
- Green Bay Packers (6-8): They had a pretty dominant win against a bad Rams team. Aaron Rodgers looked good and so did their defense. It might be too late to make a playoff push but anything can happen.
- Los Vegas Raiders (6-8): Jakobi Meyers basically handed them a win. This team has come a long way since the beginning of the season and that is good to see with a new head coach. They need to clean up some things on both sides of the ball and they have a bright future.
- Pittsburgh Steelers (6-8): They haven’t had Kenny Pickett the past two weeks and that has limited their success. Luckily he’s back this week, but unfortunately, I think it’s too late to sneak into the playoffs.
- Cleveland Browns (6-8): So far, Deshawn Watson has not been it. I gave him his excuse the first week or so but now, it’s just ugly. Maybe the Browns jumped the gun a little too early on this guy.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-8): The fact that this team has a losing record and is in first place is just sad. Their division is wide open and frantically, anyone of the teams in the NFC South could make it.
- New Orleans Saints (5-9): This team just isn’t that good. They don’t have a real quarterback, have not been able to get Kamara going, and the defense has been just ok. The sad part is, this team could be the 4 seed in the NFC.
- Carolina Panthers (5-9): Same boat as the Saints. Should not be anywhere near the playoffs, but they are. (Shake my head)
- Atlanta Falcons (5-9): And for the last team in this sorry division…. you are n0t good and don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. Ridder did not look good.
- Indianapolis Colts (4-9): 33-0
- Chicago Bears (3-11): Justin Fields needs help.
- Arizona Cardinals (4-10): Well at least you have Kyler Murray back for the start of next season. Other than that, you have nothing (except D-Hop)
- Los Angeles Rams (4-10): The Super Bowl hangover is real.
- Denver Broncos (4-10): I have no words for this team. It’s just so unbelievably bad that I’m left speechless.
- Houston Texans (1-12-1): I’m beginning to think that they won’t win another game this year.
